REPERTOIRE FOR COMPETITION

Works to be performed:

• one or some works (original only, remake excluded) by J. S. Bach included in BWV catalogue and pieces from Bach notebook by Anna Magdalena. Work edition is chosen at performer’s own discretion;

*participants are allowed to 5 min excess performing full version of the French Suite, the English Suite or cycles of the Partita;

*French Suite, English Suite or Partitas by J. S. Bach can be performed in separate parts;

*Repeats of J. S. Bach works are not obligatory;

• one virtuoso piece (etude, rhapsody, toccata, ballade etc.);

*The movement of sonata can not be considered as virtuoso piece;

• freely chosen piece(s);

All pieces are played by memory

Works assigned for prepared piano performance cannot be included into the program;

• Duration of the performing time:
  Category A prim – up to 6 min
  Category A – 7-10 min
  Category B – 10-15 min
  Category C – 15-20 min
  Category D – 20-30 min
